The Bike Pit
This is my ongoing project “The Bike Pit”. This project captures a local charity workshop in Belfast for people with motorbikes to meet regularly and relax, chat or work on their bikes. Featuring its own communal area with a kitchen, seating and entertainment area as well as a fully kitted out workshop with 3 separate bike lifts for all your needs, this place is a great attraction to anybody interested in motorbikes
In this project I am hoping to capture this environment in a documentary sense, capturing different members of the club using portraits and pairing these with images of the workshop and the different tools and components that can be found around the area. This is a great way to show and express the real grittiness and purity to this place and it shows how much of a passion this is to some people.
